Why Bill Maher refused to air Kanye West’s interview

Kanye Omari West, now known by his acclaimed name, Ye, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and fashion designer, born on June 8, 1977.

Kanye West has remained a controversial figure, as it seems that no matter where his name comes up, there are always headlines close by.

The rapper became an unpopular figure in the Jewish community.

His misfortune began after he made some unfortunate and reprehensible anti-Semitic comments.

He tried to apologize for his actions on several occasions, but that hasn’t been enough for host Bill Maher.

The comedian is a staunch defender of Israel in its conflict with Palestine and, therefore, decided not to broadcast an interview he did with the rapper on the program ‘Club Random with Bill Maher’.

He revealed this to ‘TMZ Investigates’ and their special ‘Kanye West: Unhinged But Unstoppable’.

According to him, he had agreed to do the interview because he thought it would be a “learning place” for West.

Maher’s biggest concern about Kanye West

While Maher admits the time they spent together recording was “fun,” he insisted not to air the installment.

He said, “The problem, I think, is that he appeals mostly – of course he’s a rockstar – to young people.”

“They don’t know much, and they surely don’t know much about the Middle East or Jews. … I feel like he was helpful for spreading the fertilizer, and I do mean fertilizer, for this idea that Israel and the Jews are the worst people in the world.

“That’s why I wouldn’t air that episode, because I’m not going to contribute to this.”

Finally, Maher confessed that West isn’t the only one in America who thinks this way about Jews, since “it’s not like Jews are universally loved.”
