Born David Adeleke, Davido has grown to become one of the biggest artists in Africa, in fact, his loyal fans, we are referring to the 30BG gang, are of the opinion that he is the biggest.
While the argument of who is bigger than who continues to spring reactions, Davido has again captivated fans once with a spectacular performance at his ‘Timeless’ concert held at London’s iconic O2 Arena.
Part of Davido’s “Timeless Tour,” the sold-out show at The O2 on the Greenwich Peninsula is a significant stop on the tour that commenced in 2023, coinciding with the release of his record-breaking fourth album, appropriately titled “Timeless”.
This tour is already impressing audiences globally, as it showcases Davido’s dynamic stage presence and genre-defying sound.
The latest O2 show marks his third sold-out appearance at the 20,000-capacity Arena.
He initially achieved this feat in 2019, making him the first Nigerian solo artist to sell out the venue, and again in 2022.
At the ‘Timeless Concert,’ Davido delighted fans by performing hits from his extensive catalogue. The event featured guest appearances, including DMW signee Logos Olori for the performance of ‘Picasso’ from the ‘Timeless’ album.
Mayorkun joined him on stage for their hit ‘The Best,’ and Kizz Daniel made a special appearance for their recent collaboration ‘Twe Twe.’
Grammy winner Angelique Kidjo also shared the stage for their collaborative song ‘Na Money’ from the ‘Timeless’ album.
Davido’s O2 Arena concert precedes the 2024 Grammy Awards, where he competes in three categories.
He has high hopes of bagging his first Grammy win.
Since its launch, ‘Timeless’ has amassed millions of streams on global music platforms, solidifying Davido’s position as a prominent figure in the African music industry.
