Famous English radio personality, Steve Wright‘s passing came as a shock to many on 12 February 2024 as friends and fans poured in their condolences to his family. But some might wonder who Steve Wright wife might be. This article answers that question.

Steve Wright BBC Radio Career

On January 5, 1999, Wright began hosting a one-hour programme called Wright Around the World for the BBC World Service.

Every Saturday afternoon until the last performance on October 25, 2003, this show was performed. This implied that he was now doing seven days a week of broadcasting on BBC Radio.

When Wright started working for BBC Radio 2 in March 1996, he presented Sunday Love Songs (1996–2024, the year of his death), Steve Wright’s Saturday Show (1996–1999), and his afternoon show, which ran from July 1999 until September 2022.

Steve Wright Wife

Fans have been thinking of Steve’s ex-wife, Cynthia, and extending their condolences to his family since learning of his unexpected passing.

In 1985, Steve tied the knot with the enigmatic Cyndi Robinson, and the duo went on to have two children together. After 14 years of marriage, the couple decided to end their union.

Following their 1999 divorce, they started sharing parental responsibilities for their young children, Lucy and Tom, who are grieving over his passing.

Steve preferred to keep his children and wife out of the spotlight and avoided discussing too many details about their personal life, but he did reveal the reason he had remained unmarried ever since.

He said a few years later that he simply didn’t have the time to start again after his divorce. In an uncommon disclosure regarding his private life, he told the Mirror in 2018: “I work on an afternoon show on the BBC and I do a love songs show at the weekend and it means that I do a lot of interviews and I prep a lot and I write a lot. So I have to work all the time.”
