See how Taylor Swift could shake up the next U.S. elections for Donald Trump and Joe Biden

There is no doubt that Taylor Swift is one of the most influential people of the moment, and that is an advantage for the candidates for the U.S. election in 2024.

An exclusive poll was conducted by Redfield & Wilton Strategies.

According to that poll, 18 percent of voters are “more likely” or “significantly more likely” to vote for a candidate endorsed by Swift.

The poll was conducted in early January and asked 1,500 eligible voters.

Some 45% of them said they were fans of Taylor Swift. Younger people would be the ones who could be most influenced according to the artist’s choice.

“She has influenced popular culture, sports and the economy of entire regions of the United States,” communications consultant James Haggerty stated. “So why not politics and elections?”

A force to reckon with

Last month, her wildly popular Eras tour became the first tour to cross the $1 billion mark, she was named Time magazine’s 2023 “Person of the Year”.

Furthermore, her relationship with Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs has fuelled a massive increase in NFL viewership.

For the 2020 election, Swift had already voiced her support for Biden.

In her words, “The change we need most is to elect a president who recognizes that people of color deserve to feel safe and represented, that women deserve the right to choose what happens to their bodies.”

But it’s not all praise for the singer, as she also generates a repellent effect, meaning voters decide to support a candidate other than the one the artist shows her support for. In this case, the figure reaches 17%.
