Early Life

Alexander went to Monmouth Comprehensive School and Coleford’s St. John’s Primary School. He played the lead roles in two school productions, Guys and Dolls (as Benny) and The Caucasian Chalk Circle (as the Corporal), while attending Monmouth Comprehensive School.

Alexander attended the Hereford College of Arts to study performing arts after earning his GCSEs. According to the New York Times, at the age of ten, he composed his first song on his father’s Casio keyboard.

When he was sixteen, he went to an audition for a role in the British television series Skins and ended up hiring an agent. Alexander claimed in a NylonMagazineTV YouTube video that he left the Hereford College of Arts to focus on his acting career.
