Born on November 10, 1984, Kendrick Le’Dale Perkins is an American former professional basketball player currently working as an ESPN sports analyst. After graduating from high school, he immediately entered the NBA, playing for the Boston Celtics, Oklahoma City Thunder, Cleveland Cavaliers, and New Orleans Pelicans. Early Career

In 2003, Perkins received his diploma from Beaumont, Texas’s Clifton J. Ozen High School. During his high school career, he guided Ozen High to four straight district titles and one state title.

As a senior, he led Ozen to a 33-1 record with the lone loss coming in the state 4A championship game, where they were defeated 66-54 by Fort Worth Dunbar. He averaged 27.5 points, 16.4 rebounds, and 7.8 blocked shots per game. In 2003, Perkins was chosen for the McDonald’s All-American Game following his senior year.

Rivals.com rated Perkins as a five-star recruit and ranked him as the third-best center and sixth-best player in the country in 2003. Despite his initial commitment to Memphis, he decided to enter the NBA as soon as he graduated from high school.

Kendrick Perkins has four children with his wife, Vanity. Their son Kendrick Jr. was born on September 10, 2007 before the couples tied the knot two years later on July 25, 2009. Their second son, Kenton, was welcomed into the world on October 10, 2011, two years after their marriage and four years after the birth of their first child. The twins, Zoey and Karter, were born on October 20, 2015, four years later, increasing the size of Vanity and Kendrick Pekins’ family to six.
