Johnny Hardwick, the popular voice actor, writer, comedian, and YouTuber, has passed away on August 8. He was 64. The late actor was popularly known for his portrayal of Dale Gribble in the animated sitcom, King of the Hill. The cause of death of Johnny Hardwick has not been disclosed by his family or relevant authorities.
Hardwick’s death was confirmed by Hector Nieto of the Medical Examiner’s officer in Austin, to the USA Today. This was after the actor’s body was discovered in his home, by authorities who were conducting an urgent welfare check.
Meanwhile, the authorities made it clear that they suspected no foul play.
However, some accounts claim that he passed away from heart attack. As of the time of writing this article, there is no confirmation or otherwise of this claim.

Hardwick was born on September 21, 1958, in Austin, Texas.
The actor began performing stand-up comedy in his community in 1990. He would later appear on The Jon Stewart Show and at the Montreal Comedy Festival and The Laugh Factory in Los Angeles.
His character with the distinctive Texas drawl had been with the Emmy-winning animated series since its debut in 1997 through its final episode on Fox in 2010.
Hardwick was confirmed to return for the show’s streaming comeback earlier this year by Hulu, where the reruns presently air. At the time of his passing, the new season’s recordings were still unfinished.
During the first Fox seasons of King of the Hill, Hardwick was listed as a producer and writer. In 2001 and 2002, he was nominated for an Emmy as the show’s supervising producer.
