Jay Z and Kanye West fight: Are the two rap moguls beefing?

Jay Z and Kanye West are always brought up when discussing extraordinary skill and craftsmanship in the American rap and music industries. There have been rising questions about Jay Z and Kanye West fight over the years and we are going to find out if these two rap moguls are beefing.

In the world of hip-hop, Kanye West and Jay Z are the best of friends. They worked together on numerous songs for many years before their friendship soured. However, Kanye West, also known as Ye’s tenth album Donda’s track list showed that the two rappers have renewed their friendship.

Kanye was taught by rapper Jay Z for a number of years after the latter saw his potential and helped revive Jay’s career in the 1990s.

Before being signed as a rapper to the same company and starting to establish himself as an artist, Kanye worked as a producer for Jay’s Roc-A-Fella Records. Many songs, such as Monster and Run This Town, were recorded by Jay and Kanye together.

However, their collaborative album Watch The Throne in 2011 completely stunned the public. With songs like N***** In Paris, Otis, Made In America, and No Church In The Wild, they dominated radio rotation.

After Kanye’s controversial 2009 VMAs stage invasion, which outshone both Taylor Swift and Jay Z’s wife Beyoncé, tensions between the rappers started to escalate. The public initially started to wonder whether there was a problem between the two after Jay Z and Beyoncé didn’t show up for Kim Kardashian and Kanye’s wedding.

Jay Z neglected to help Kanye during his “hour of need” after Kim was robbed in Paris. Then, in a 17-minute address delivered in November 2016 at the Saint Pablo Tour event in Sacramento, California, he asked Jay Z not to have Donald Trump assassinated after having previously praised the president. While Jay Z delivered several overt jabs against Kanye in his 2017 album 4:44.

Soon after, Kanye retaliated by removing all of his songs from Jay Z’s Tidal streaming service and declaring that he was “done with streaming”.

Jay Z acknowledged their “brotherly rivalry” in July 2017. Public Enemies: Jay-Z vs. Kanye, a documentary, debuted on Channel 4 that same month, chronicling the “meteoric rise and colossal falling out of two of the world’s most iconic popstars.”

However, Kanye acknowledged to iHeartRadio in a lengthy interview with Charlamagne tha God in May 2018 that he was “hurt” by Jay Z and that Beyoncé, his wife, had not travelled to his wedding to Kim.

In September of the same year, Beyoncé was spotted sporting YEEZY mules in an Instagram photo, and Kanye called the Carters family. In December 2019, Kanye West and Jay Z reconciled, seen greeting each other and taking photos together at P Diddy’s 50th birthday party.

Their past feud now appears to be resolved. On July 23, 2021, Kanye’s long-awaited tenth album, “Donda,” is scheduled for release after a significant delay. This album serves as a tribute to Kanye’s late mother, who passed away in 2007 at the age of 58.

Kanye invited Jay-Z to collaborate with him on a track titled “Donda,” which appeared at the end of the album. This unexpected collaboration excited fans, as it marked the first time the two artists worked together in a decade since their last song, “No Church In The Wild,” from their joint album “Watch the Throne” released in 2011.
