Danny Zayat has been charged with the murder of Tatiana Dokhotaru, a 34 year-old lady who was found dead in late May 2023. After court proceedings on Monday, August 28, people began to focus their attention on Danny Zayat family. Zayat, 28, was Dokhotaru’s estranged husband. They lived as lovers for quite some time before the unfortunate incident happened on May 26, this year. Prior to the incident, Zayat had always subjected the victim to domestic violence. In fact, records from the Penrith Local Court in New South Wales, indicated that Zayat was already facing some 22 charges of domestic violence which he committed against the victim.
Police alleged that on the fateful day, Dokhotaru made a call to a triple zero operator and told him that; “He’s bashing me, my husband’s taking all the money from my house.”
However, when authorities got to her Norfolk Street block unit in Liverpool, South-West Sydney, she could not be found. This was just three hours after her phone call to the triple zero operator.
About 20 hours later, her lifeless body was found with Zayat inside a property in Colyton. Police also established that Zayat killed Dokhotaru in her own unit before taking the body away.

After her call to a triple zero operator, Zayat assaulted Dokhotaru. She died from an injury she sustained in the head following the assault.
