Critics Choice Awards 2024: Full list of nominees

Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” stood out as the cinematic phenomenon of 2022. The film has been a constant presence in the awards season for the best of cinema, and the Critics Choice Awards could not be the exception.

Barbie bagged 18 nominations.

The famous doll’s film made it to the Best Film category, and Gerwig’s name is penned on the ballot for Best Director. In addition, Margot Robbie is nominated for Best Actress, and Ryan Gosling is competing for the Best Actor award, among others.

In a somewhat distant second place are “Oppenheimer” and “Poor Things,” with 13 nominations each.

Oppenheimer got nominated for the awards for Best Film, Best Director (Christopher Nolan), Best Actor (Cillian Murphy), Best Supporting Actor (Robert Downey Jr.), and Best Supporting Actress (Emily Blunt).

Poor Things on the other hand is included in the nominations for Best Picture, Best Director (Yorgos Lanthimos), Best Actress (Emma Stone), and Best Supporting Actor (Mark Ruffalo).

Movie buffs were surprised that “Killers of the Flower Moon,” Martin Scorsese’s most recent film, was only nominated for 12 awards, including Best Picture, Best Actor (Leonardo DiCaprio), Best Actress (Lili Gladstone), Best Supporting Actor ( Robert De Niro), and Best Director (Scorsese).

This year’s award ceremony will take place at the Barker Hangar at Santa Monica Airport, in Santa Monica, California.
