Channing Frye’s Life

The former basketballer was a collegiate basketball player until he was selected in the 2005 NBA draft by his hometown, New York Knicks. Despite a few injury blows, Channing continued to strive and make his mark in the NBA as a power forward.

He played for a few other teams like Phoenix Suns, Orlando Magic, Portland Trailblazers, Los Angeles Lakers, and  Cleveland Cavaliers until he retired officially in 2019.

NBC Sports Northwest announced on October 30, 2019, that Frye has joined their team as a co-host of Talkin’ Blazers Podcast, a brand-new podcast. Additionally, since 2020, Frye has worked as a studio commentator for NBATV. Since 2021, he has also filled in as a studio analyst for the NBA on TNT.

Channing Frye has won several awards including the 2015-16 with Cleveland Cavaliers.
