This article unveils who Caitlin Clark parents are.

Who is Caitlin Clark?

Clark was raised in West Des Moines after being born in Des Moines, Iowa, on January 22, 2002. When her father was unable to locate a girls’ league for her age group, she began playing basketball at the age of five and participated in boys’ recreational leagues. Before concentrating on basketball, Clark also played softball, volleyball, soccer, tennis and golf as a youth.

She started playing in girls’ leagues at the age of 13, several years ahead of her age group. Clark began playing basketball with All Iowa Attack, an Ames, Iowa-based Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) team, in the sixth grade.

She continued to play for them until she completed her high school education. Her AAU teammates included future Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) player Ashley Joens, and she was coached by Dickson Jensen of Attack.

Inspired by Maya Moore of the Minnesota Lynx, the WNBA team nearest to Clark’s hometown, she drove three and a half hours with her father to see their games. She was a fan of the North Carolina Tar Heels once Harrison Barnes, an All Iowa Attack alum, joined the team.
