Brereton Chandler Jones born June 27, 1939 was a Republican politician from Kentucky. From 1987 to 1991, he was Kentucky’s 50th lieutenant governor, and from 1991 to 1995, he was the state’s 58th governor.
Jones grew up in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, after being born in Gallipolis, Ohio. He received his bachelor’s degree from Marshall University and his law degree from the University of Kentucky.
